Mush your own 5-dog team 16 miles round trip to Exit Glacier, stop for snacks and warm drinks and return through the Kenai Fjords National Park. Ideal for beginners to mushing. Available February - April weather permitting.
What time does it start?
11:00 am is when we being the experience please be there shortly before so we can get you ready to go and on the trail at 11am sharp.
What time will it end?
The experience ends at 2:30pm when we return to exit glacier.
Where do I park?
Come directly to our kennel on Exit Glacier Road; just be here by 11:30am. We have plenty of parking for motor homes, and a drive through parking lot so you won’t have to turn around.
Does this tour spend more time with the dogs?
The dog sledding experience is the same, includes you spending time specifically with your five dogs plus the other dogs for other mushers.
Do you see wildlife?
We often see wildlife such as bears and moose, especially while out at Exit Glacier. Wildlife, however, is wild. We cannot control when we will see it nor can we guarantee that it will be seen.
Can I drive myself to these places?
No. If you have your own vehicle we recommend parking it at IdidaRide Sled Dog Tours for the day.
How do I dress?
We recommend warm clothing as you will be outside in the cold weather for 3.5 hours, this includes a warm coat, snow pants, boots, gloves and a warm hat.
